DAY 1 LIMA
Reception in the Lima airport and
transfer to the Hotel Santa Cruz located in Miraflores, Lima .Depending
on the arrival time of your international flight we will have
the possibility of an optional visit to the gold museum ( not
included in the rate )
DAY 2 PUERTO MALDONADO
Transfer to the airport where
we'll take the flight to Puerto Maldonado, ( airfare included )
upon arrival from Lima, greeting at the airport and
transportation to the WASAI Maldonado Lodge, where you will
receive a welcoming tropical fruit beverage. You will embark for
a 3 to 4 1/2 hour motorboat trip up the Tambopata River to WASAI
Tambopata Lodge & Research Center (box lunch on route). During
the trip we will be able to observe the local farms, while
groups of birds pass over the boat. Opportunity to see families
of Ronsocos, the largest rodents in the world. Reception,
accommodation at the
DAY 3 MACAW CLAY LICK "COLLPA"
We will wake up early (4 am) to
drink a coffee or hot drink and leave for the "Collpa". We will
travel up the Tambopata River (or "Bahuaja" in the local dialect)
for an hour and a half, to arrive to observe from a safe
distance one of the greatest spectacles of wildlife: hundreds of
parrots and macaws of various species, enjoying their diet of
mineral salts on the clay wall. It is an experience that never
will be forgotten.We will make a stop on the river bank to have
a fruit snack and we will return to the lodge to have breakfast
and rest. After lunch we will enter the verdant jungle on a
special trail to observe wild life. We will then enter the
territory of peccaries, deer, and others, with the possibility
to hear or see the tracks of them, or discovering a troop of
monkeys travelling through the forest in search of food.Time
permitting, we will be able to return to enjoy a relaxing swim
in the cascade of the cat.After dinner we can make another trip
through the jungle, search for caimans or relax in our lodge
surrounded by exotic nocturnal sounds. (B, L, D)
DAY 4 LAKE SANDOVAL
After breakfast we will make a
trip in boat to the WASAI Maldonado Lodge, in Puerto Maldonado
where we will relax in our bungalows and enjoy a tasty lunch.
After lunch we will leave and travel for twenty minutes on the
Madre de Dios River, to the access trail to Lake Sandoval, a
beautiful typical rainforest lake. 5 km hike to the banks of the
lake. There we will board a canoe to paddle around the lake
enjoying the beauty of the landscape and observing the wildlife,
such as kingfishers, herons, hoatzins (unique pre historic
looking birds) , monkeys, etc. If we are lucky we could see the
family of giant otters which live at the lake. We will have the
opportunity to fish piranhas and swim in the lake. Prepare
yourself for a spectacular sunset. It is time to begin our
return hike to the Madre de Dios River to return to Puerto
Maldonado. There we will stay in the modern and comfortable
bungalows of WASAI Maldonado Lodge. After dinner we will be able
to rest or go around the city on foot or on bicycle.
We can enjoy the pool and its
cascade surounded by verdant vegetation. Rest of the night free
to enjoy the night life of this welcoming city. (B, L, D)
DAY 5 PUERTO MALDONADO CUSCO-CITY
TOUR
After an early breakfast we will
return to Puerto Maldonado for our flight to Cusco ( airfare
included ), upon arrival reception and transfer at the Hotel,
followed by a few cups of mate de coca, whilst you iron out any
questions you may have with us. At 13:45 you leave on the Cusco
City Tour. This tour includes the major sites of historical
interest in Cusco, such as the famous Inca fort at Sacsayhuaman,
and the temple of the Sun. Also included in this is a tourist
card, giving you access to all the sites in the Cusco area as a
whole (i.e., including outside of the City itself) This tour
finishes at 18:00.(B)
DAY 6 INCA TRAIL 4 DAYS /3
NIGHTSCUSCO - CHILCA - WAYLLABAMBA
Our guide will pick you up from
your hotel in Cusco very early in the morning, to take bus to
the city of Chilca to begin your trek along the Inca Trail to
Machu Picchu. After approximately three hours walking you will
stop for lunch. Then you will continue walking towards your
first camp at Wayllabamba, on the way you will have a guided
tour of the archaeological complex of Llactapata. Dinner and
overnight in tents at the campsite. (B, L, D)
DAY 7 WAYLLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSCA
- PACAYMAYO
After breakfast, the toughest
part of the trail begin, walking towards the highest point in
the Inca Trail where you will have an unbelievable panoramic
view of the whole area and will observe different types of
microclimates. After a 3 hours walk you will reach the first
pass,
Named Warmiwañiusca or Dead Woman's Pass, at approximately 4,200
m.a.s.l. Here, you will have a tremendous feeling of achievement
mixed with relief on reaching the top. After lunch you will
continue your walking down to Pacaymayo where you will camp and
have dinner. (B, L, D)
DAY 8 PACAYMAYO-PUYO PATAMARKA -
WIÑAY HUAYNA
After breakfast start the descent
towards the second most important pass of the trail at 3,850
m.a.s.l. having a guided visit at the archaeological complex of
Runkurakay and the Inca citadel of Sayacmarca. Continue your
trekking towards Puya Patamarka (Cloud-level town), another
important archaeological monument, where lunch will be served.
After a short break you will continue walking to Wiñay Huayna (Forever
Young) for a guided visit of this impressive archaeological
complex with a spectacular setting. Dinner and overnight at the
camp. (B, L,D)
DAY 9 WIÑAY HUAYNA - MACHU PICCHU
- CUSCO
After breakfast, have a very
early start to arrive in time for sunrise at Machu Picchu.
After a one hour walk through the
forest towards the Inti Punku or the Gate of the Sun, also known
as the Entrance Gate to Machu Picchu.
Where you will have the most
impressive panoramic view of the citadel. Upon arrival at Machu
Picchu, three-hours guided tour around the citadel, visiting the
main sites and monuments. After the tour you will have free time
to wander around, then you will meet with the rest of the group
to drive by bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, transfer by train to Cusco. Upon arrival in
Cusco transfer to your selected hotel. End of services of the

DAY 10 PUNO
Transfer to the train or bus
station. Ten hour train or bus ride to Puno , across the scenic
high Andes landscapes only dotted by small villages and herds of
the llamas and vicuñas. Upon arrival transfer to hostal Pukara
or Don Miguel (B)
DAY 11 UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS
You will be picked up from your
hotel 7,30 AM, after 2 hours motorboat you will arrive at the
Uros island, in the Titicaca lake. Fishermen and hunters inhabit
the floating islands of the Uros. The residents of the Uros use
the cattail, a type of rush, which grows in the lake, to create
the conditions that ensure the islands stay afloat. The dense
roots that the plants develop support the island.The roofs are
waterproof and the houses are extremely humid because of the
surrounding water. At present they speak Quechua and Aymara.
Then we will visit the Taquile island including lunch in the co-operative
restaurant, there is also a co-operative shop on the plaza that
sells exceptional woollen goods which are not cheap but of very
fine quality.
Taquile Island is famous for its
craft production, particularly for its beautiful textiles. The
island is narrow only about 1 KM wide , but 6 to 7 KM long, on
Taquile there are numerous pre-Inca and Inca ruins and Inca
terracing.
We will return in Puno in the
afternoon, overnight.(B, L)
DAY 12 PUNO– AREQUIPA
In the morning transfer to the
estation bus , Puno- Arequipa Royal Class Upon arrival,
reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel. In the
afternoon, we start a three hour sightseeing tour including the
Santa Catalina Convent, the Plaza de Armas, the Jesuit Church of
La Compañía and its beautifully-painted Chapel, the Church of
San Francisco, the San Lazaro District, Selva Alegre and the
typical Districts of Cayma and Yanahuara for a magnificent view
of the Misti Volcano. Return to the hotel.

DAY 13 AREQUIPA - CHIVAY
Early in the morning, after
breakfast, start your trip to the Colca Canyon, visiting on the
way Pampas Cañahuas, the Mirador of the Andes, the Crater of
Chucura, the Mirador of Chivay, where pre-Inca Cultivation
terraces may be appreciated. Arrival to the Town of Chivay at
13:00hrs. approx. Transfer to your selected Lodge. Box lunch (light
meals in the altitude). In the afternoon free time to visit Hot
Spring Thermal and Medicinal Baths.

DAY 14 CHIVAY - CONDOR'S CROSS -
AREQUIPA
After breakfast, very early in
the morning, drive to the Condor's Cross, a natural observation
point from where the magnitude of the Colca Canyon and the
spectacular flight of the majestic Condor can be appreciated. On
the way back to Chivay, visit to the Mirador of Chinina, where
we will find the famous cliffside Tombs and the Hanging Bridge
of Sifón that joins the Town of Yanque with Coporaque. When at
the Town of Yanque, visit its beautiful church and its
characteristic cobbled streets among other attractions. To have
spectacular views of the Colca Valley, we will drive to the
Lookout points of Choquetipo and Artahuilque and also to the
Town of Maca.
In the afternoon, return to the
City of Arequipa, arriving at 18:00hrs. approx. Overnight at
selected hotel.

DAY 15 AREQUIPA
After breakfast, transfer In the
afternoon transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima, (
airfare included ) upon arrival reception and transfer to the
